Our mission

Two languages.
One community.

We bring together people from Israel and Hungary to learn each other's languages through meaningful personal conversations, guided by a dedicated team of professionals.

Our story

Born from a simple observation.

The best way to learn a language is through genuine human connection. Apps and textbooks have their place, but nothing compares to conversing with a native speaker who becomes your friend.

Our founders noticed a unique opportunity between Israel and Hungary – two countries with rich cultures and a growing interest in each other. Hebrew and Hungarian, though unrelated linguistically, share the challenge of being less commonly taught languages.

Today, Diburli connects hundreds of learners across both countries with carefully matched partners and a community where lasting friendships flourish alongside language skills.

Zima-Lipthay Judit

Language teacher and community builder

Budapest, Hungary

Judit is a language teacher and community builder who has dedicated many years to teaching Hebrew and shaping Jewish community life in Hungary. Among her roles, she serves as the professional director and liaison of the Hebrew Language Center at MERKAZ – the Hebrew and Israeli Cultural Center, and as the head of the Foreign Language Department and Language Examination Center at the National Rabbinical Seminary – Jewish University.

For Judit, teaching Hebrew is far more than transmitting a language – it is about shaping perspectives and building connections: the meeting point of language, culture, and living thought. Her teaching is characterized by a conversation-centered, practical approach and a safe learning environment where students can speak Hebrew with confidence and ease.

This philosophy is at the heart of the language-exchange program she created, whose goal is to make language learning a meaningful, lived experience through genuine human connection. Participants grow together by supporting one another – exchanging linguistic knowledge, cultural insight, and personal bonds – while becoming part of an open, encouraging community. Judit believes that language learning is most effective and inspiring when it is built on real dialogue and authentic connection.
